This is truely beyond me. One of the greatest undrafted players EVER with little to show in terms of accolades.

Nearly 1,500 tackles in his career, 29 sacks, and 25 turn overs forced

HERE IS HIS BIO

Fletcher began his professional career with the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent. He was one of the two rookie free agents to make Rams' opening day roster, he played in all 16 regular season games, starting the season finale at San Francisco. Fletcher earned the Ram's Rookie of the Year as teams' Rookie of the Year.

In 1999, Fletcher led the Rams in tackles after winning the starting middle linebacker position during training camp, he led the Rams with 138 tackles for the season were the most by a Ram since Roman Phifer collected 149 in 1995 season. He was a starting linebacker for the Rams inSuper Bowl XXXIV, in which the Rams defeated the Titans 23-16. He also was named to the All-Madden team.

In 2000, he again led the team with 193 tackles, eclipsing old franchise mark of 185 set by LB Jim Collings in 1984. Fletcher earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career after making 14 tackles (9 solo) and tiying a career-high with two sacks against the Vikes on November 10. He established season and career highs in sacks (5.5), interceptions (4), and quarterback pressures (9) and adding a forced fumble.

In 2001, Fletcher earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors twice, first in the game against the 49ers on September 23, he led the team with a career-high 21 tackles, 15 solo. The second time was after his big performance against the Patriots on November 18 as he led the team with 17 tackles with one pass deflection; forced a fumble on the Rams' three-yard line that led to a 97-yard scoring drive to end the first half and intercepted a Tom Brady pass with 5:18 left in the third quarter for an 18-yard return.

This season the Rams made the Super Bowl XXXVI but were defeated by the Patriots 20-17, after kicker Vinatieri made a game-winning 48-yard field goal as time expired.

Buffalo Bills

After 2001 season, Fletcher was signed by the Billes and immediately made an impact on Bills defense, setting a career high and franchise record with 209 tackles, breaking the old mark of 206 set by Chris Speilman in 1996. He also was selected as a Pro Bowl alternate eight times though he has never actually been a Pro Bowler. Since 2002, Fletcher started all 16 regular season games for the Bills until his last season in 2006, when he Recorded a team-high 157 tackles, including nine for loss, set a career high with 14 deflections and tied a career high with four interceptions. On September 10, in the first regular season game, Fletcher scored his first career touchdown after recovering a fumble by patriots´Brady and returning it five yards for a touchdown only 12 seconds into the game.

On March 2, 2007, he signed with the Redskins for five years and $25 million

They are probably 2 of the most pathetic franchises in NFL in the last decade. I'd never say he wasn't a good player, I just think the originator might be a little off base on this post. I know what I saw in person, I know he won a ring but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the Rams Defense that people were talking about back in those days. All words that come to mind when I think of him. I have had a lot to say about the Redskins this year especially. None of it good, except for London. We have a 100,000,000.00 man bashing his teammates in the media. We have a RB on talk radio running his yapper, doing nothing on the feild then making it better by throwing his helmet in front of the camera. I say all of these things because London is NONE of these things. He plays hard, MAKES PLAYS, then goes home. No complaining, no belitteling, nothing. His play on the feild speaks for its self. Another post comment said that he makes a lot of tackles but they are 3 and 4 yards down the feild and thats what seperates him from say a Ray Lewis. Well I see him weekly on a pathetic Redskins team and he does make those tackels. He also make plenty behind the line of scrimmage. The point being is he's ALWAYS making tackels! He will get his day, it may not be in the stupidest game of the season where ego maniacs get a game to bump chests and let ESPN get all the money. He will get his day in Canton when its all over. Through his class and play on the feild it will earn him a first ballot in my book. The men who vote on this and wear these jackets already will understand what it takes to be of little hearld, and how he has handeled himself on and off the feild and realize that the NFL needs more men like him and is one of the great stories of the leauge. highwindmt Reputation: 97 Level: Superstar Since: Jul 4, 2007	Posted on: October 28, 2009 6:02 pm Score: 75 LONDON FLETCHER AS NEVER.... arinze, he won a superbowl with the rams, how does he not play for winners? and if you watch him weekly, you would know that a lot of his tackles come at or behind the line of scrimmage. why does that matter anyways? maybe he didnt do it for the bills, but he does it for the redskins and he definitely did it for the rams. he may be slowing down in his old age, but he was definitely one of the best while he was with the rams. While no doubt he is a great player, it's no suprrise that teams he's played on were not winners. Your MLB position is always going to have the most tackles but it is the ones that come up with the big plays that are the difference makers, which seperate the Ray Lewis' from the London Fletchers. Some may disagree, and that's your opinion, I just happened to see him play several seasons on my team, and while he was always there making the tackles....like I said, none of them were for no gains or losses when we needed it. 3 to 4 a down translates to a first down. Congrats to his accomplishments, but calling him one of the games best etc, is an oversight of reality [ Reply to Comment ]

He can cover pretty well and is a great run stuffer. The most impressive thing about him is the fact that he hasn't missed a game in his whole career!...? Other players that have built these long playing streaks tend to be less physically demanding postions ( farve excluded ) but for a middle linebacker it is phenominal! He is the heart and soul of my redskin's d and he has long been robbed of a pro bowl spot...don't expect him to catch any nods as a redskin...we are not well liked and have players snubbed often.
